SUMIDEROS DE CARBONO. SECUESTRO DE GASES DE EFECTO INVERNADERO

El efecto invernadero. Las altas emisiones de CO₂ en la atmósfera, están provocando un aumento de la temperatura en nuestro planeta. Este aumento de la temperatura provoca una gran pérdida de biodiversidad en nuestro planeta así como grandes catástrofes climáticas.

En Alcázar de San Juan contamos con nuestras lagunas: Laguna del Camino de Villafranca, Laguna de las Yeguas y Laguna de la Veguilla que actúan como sumideros donde se almacena el agua y dichas lagunas absorben el CO₂ sobrante.

Observamos agua de la primera de dichas lagunas y podemos comprobar que hay diferentes organismos. Los pescamos con las pipetas y los observamos en las lupas.

Podemos distinguir a través de las lupas  tres tipos de crustáceos (Branquiópodos, Ostrácodos y Copépodos) que forman el zooplancton de la laguna.

              

Estos organismos presentes en las lagunas, captan CO₂ y expulsan O₂ y además, su presencia en el agua, nos indica que en esa laguna hay algo que está generando oxígeno. Ese algo son las algas y plantas.

Si cuidamos nuestras lagunas, favorecemos que se absorba CO₂ y se genere O_2, colaborando así en evitar la subida de las temperaturas en la atmósfera.

OTRAS COSAS QUE HEMOS APRENDIDO CON ESTE TALLER PARALELAS A NUESTRO OBJETIVO:

-          * Los flamencos tienen ese color rosáceo porque se comen a los copépodos.

-         *  La Daphnia (Branquiópodo), el Cyclops (Copépodo) y el ostrácodo pertenecen al grupo de los invertebrados.

-           * El ostrácodo está dentro del subfilo de los crustáceos y a su vez, se encuentra dentro del filo de los artrópodos.

-          * La Daphnia y el Cyclops son crustáceos.

-          *Hemos podido observar la puesta de un copépodo.

-          * Hemos observado la columna de agua de la laguna que consta de las siguientes capas:

COLUMNA DE AGUA	Tercera capa	Agua con “lagubichos)
	Segunda capa	Tierra con algas
	Primera capa	Fango (oba)

-          

       * Hemos visto las larvas de un mosquito y de una tijereta.

-          * Hemos aprendido que, como cada vez edificamos más sobre el suelo, provocamos que haya menos plantas y, por tanto, que haya mayor escorrentía. Cuantas menos plantas y menos humedales, mayor concentración de CO_2.

-          * Cuando estemos en el laboratorio hay que usar papel secante blanco porque permite tener una mejor visibilidad de lo que estemos observando.

UNIT 1. NUTRITION

NUTRITION is the process of absorbing energy and oxygen so that we can move, grow and keep warm..

Nutrition is carried out by the following systems:

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

Digestive System receives water and nutrients from the things we eat and drink and takes energy from them.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

It receives oxygen from the air we breath

CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

It moves the blood, that transport nutrients, oxygen and water, around our body to our muscles, bones and organs.

EXCRETORY SYSTEM

It removes waste substances, such as carbon dioxide, undigested food and excess water, from our bodies.

HOW CAN WE TAKE CARE OF OUR SYSTEMS?

FOOD PYRAMID AND KID'S HEALTHY EATING PLATE

We are going to prepare a FOOD PYRAMID.

- Children look for information in Internet and prepare a list of foods that contain proteins, vitamins and minerals, fats, corbohydrates.

- We make a brainstorm with the different foods and write them down in our notebooks.

- We project on the screen the FOOD PYRAMID in order to see the number of servings a day of each food.

- Now, children draw different foods in small peaces of paper. With all of them we make a picture dictionary.

 

- In groups of four they draw foods for each category and then, they stick them on the correct part of the Food Pyramid.

 

- Now, we project on the screen the KID'S HEALTHY EATING PLATE.

- Now, children prepare their HEALTHY EATING PLATE in their notebooks.
